Art Walk and Roasted Veggies

September 4, 2010

St. Augustine is a beautiful town. It has charm and beaches and history and beaches and fun shops and beaches and art galleries and beaches:):) Can ya tell that i like the beach?

The first friday of every month is “Art Walk” where all the galleries in town are open late and theres lots of live music and snacks and wine. Since its also the first weekend school is back there were lots of BBQs for different clubs. My two housemates and I stopped by the inter varsity  BBQ and they actually had some boca burgers but i had already eaten since i didn’t expect that they’d have anything edible aside from chips and lettuce lol I love going to look at glleries cause its such great inspiration! Its great to see what other people in the art world are up to.  But after looking at 5-10 galleries in a row its kinda sensory overload and its hard to remember the best pieces

Nothing is  better then fresh produce from the farmer’s market (except for fresh stuff from your own garden!)

Roasted Green Beans

These are inspired by the super talented Angela!

  • Fresh Green Beans
  • A few tsp olive oil
  • A few tsp favorite vinegar (I used red wine vinegar but you can use any kind)
  • salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash green beans and let dry completely. Put on a baking sheet and drizzle oil and vinegar and mix around until entirely coated. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and any other spices desired. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy. Enjoy!

Have a great day!!

Gosh..the first picture…stunned me. Gorgeous place indeed! Are those buildings part of a hotel?

Never tried roasted green beans before, but roasting is my favorite way to eat a veggie, any veggie! 🙂

That is actually a picture i took of my college (Flagler college). But it actually started off as a hotel that a couple presidents and famous rich people stayed at way back in the day! Its gorgeous inside and there are murals on the ceiling with gold leaf and jazz lol and roasted veggies are so good, especially in the fall and winter!
